"Judge Kelly's hearing on President Trump's media ban," reported Politico's Kyle Cheney on X. "Immediately makes clear he's bound by D.C. Circuit precedent that upholds due process protections for WH reporters who hold hard passes." September 23, 2026 at 3:44 PM EDT MAGA radio host freaks out over new Trump crisis On Wednesday, a popular MAGA radio host had a social media meltdown over the latest midterm polls, which indicate November will be a disaster for the GOP. According to President Donald Trump loyalist Steve Deace, Republicans are being dragged down by a "political albatross" of their own making. "Yesterday," posted Deace, "Iowa House Republicans were informed by their own pollsters that if you are in a +15 district you're within the margin for error, if you're in a +10 district you're underwater, and that this might end being an even worse midterm environment than 2006." In other words, the GOP's internal polling shows that unless a Republican House member happens to be in a district where Trump won by an exceptionally large margin, they're losing, and even the big margin might not save them. The 2006 midterms he references were a catastrophe for the GOP, handing Democrats both houses of Congress and a slew of governorships and state legislative roles, ending over a decade of Republican majority. September 23, 2026 at 2:55 PM EDT Retired general accuses Trump of committing a war crime Retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling cautioned that President Donald Trump appears to have publicly confessed to a crime. Speaking to The Bulwark for the "Command Post" podcast, Hertling and host Ben Parker addressed Trump's speech to the United Nations, which the latter said would make them "bash our heads against the wall." September 23, 2026 at 2:41 PM EDT Canadian city takes a big swipe at Trump President Donald Trump's trade and rhetoric wars with Canada are as controversial in the United States as in the targeted country, but a recent report reveals that Canadians are particularly angry at America -- and that Canada's capital city is demonstrating this through a potent symbolic gesture. "A street in Canada's capital bearing the name of the current U.S. president will be renamed," reported Ted Raymond from CTV News on Wednesday. "Ottawa city council unanimously agreed to a motion to begin the process of renaming Trump Avenue, in Ottawa's Central Park neighbourhood." September 22, 2026 at 7:45 PM EDT GOP lawmaker says Trump's media bans are against Republican values A Republican lawmaker, Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska, is accusing President Donald Trump of betraying Republican values by banning media outlets -- including CNN, MS NOW and Politico -- because they frequently criticize the president. "I say this as an old school Republican, I find it so unnecessary," Bacon told CNN anchor Erin Burnett. "We want a free media. It's competitive media. You guys compete with each other and the truth comes out. Even if one media source is not on target, the other ones will cover it." September 22, 2026 at 6:35 PM EDT Trump is humiliated in 25th consecutive court case defeat President Donald Trump suffered yet another court humiliation Tuesday -- indeed, the 25th in a row (and without exception) when it comes to his attempt to force states to provide him with their voter rolls, and thereby guarantee Republicans win the 2026 midterm elections. "President Donald Trump's Department of Justice suffered its 25th straight district court loss Tuesday in its nationwide campaign to force states to hand over unredacted voter registration data, after a federal judge in Washington rejected the department's legal theory and dismissed the case with prejudice," reported Democracy Docket's Yunior Rivas on Tuesday. "U.S. District Judge Kymberly Evanson, appointed by former President Joe Biden, concluded that DOJ's demand for Washington's statewide voter registration list 'violates federal law,' joining what she described as a growing line of courts rejecting nearly identical lawsuits." September 22, 2026 at 5:54 PM EDT Caught red-handed: A smoking gun memo proves Trump's retaliation President Donald Trump recently banned three media outlets that he claims were unfairly critical of him -- Politico, CNN and MS NOW -- from covering him at the White House. Now it has been revealed that he openly admitted that he did so based on their viewpoints, in violation of the First Amendment. "After MS NOW, CNN and Politico sued the Trump administration on Monday over the president banning their reporters from White House grounds, Trump's communications team sent congressional Republicans talking points Monday night in defense of the president's decision," reported MS NOW's Mychael Schnell on Tuesday. "According to the document obtained by MS NOW, the White House wants Republicans to argue that "no president has been more transparent or offered more of his time to the press" and that the First Amendment does not grant reporters access to the White House." September 22, 2026 at 5:16 PM EDT Total meltdown: Trump insiders say he's out of control --and unstoppable President Donald Trump's latest outbursts are a sign of how much his worst excesses are coming to the forefront, and as two prominent insiders told MS NOW, he has created an administration around himself that leaves allies powerless to stop him. On Tuesday, MS NOW's Nicole Wallace hosted two guests with close past connections to Trump's inner circle: author and reporter Maggie Haberman, who has written extensively about his political career and gotten close access to the president; and Miles Taylor, who worked as a major Homeland Security staffer in the first Trump administration and famously blew the whistle about the internal efforts to rein him in. September 22, 2026 at 5:10 PM EDT Obituary for the GOP: How Trump killed the Republican Party On Tuesday, a prominent conservative political journalist asserted that "Trumpism is exhausted" and the GOP is poised to pay the price for President Donald Trump's "erratic" leadership in November. This is according to National Review Senior Political Correspondent Jim Geraghty, who took to the Washington Post to warn his fellow Republicans that time is short for the GOP to unglue itself from Trump. September 22, 2026 at 4:08 PM EDT CNN contributor vows to leave rather than stay with MAGA owners All through 2026, President Donald Trump's billionaire ally David Ellison has tried to purchase Warner Bros. in part -- according to many reports -- so he can fire CNN journalists who criticize him and replace them with more pro-Trump alternatives. He even had private meetings with both Ellison and their competitor to purchase Warner Bros, Netflix, before the former seemed to indicate his pro-Trump agenda and the latter dropped their bid. September 22, 2026 at 3:43 PM EDT Trump's nephew targets 'the one thing' that can hurt the president On Tuesday, President Donald Trump's nephew shared a story about his uncle that explains much about his relationship with the media. According to Fred Trump III, the press - or lack thereof - is "the one thing" that can hurt Trump. "My uncle may have found the one thing the media can take away from him: attention," posted Fred Trump. "What if the media simply stopped giving him the attention he craves. I recently suggested this to Vaughn Hillyard of MS Now. I have a personal reason for thinking it might work. In 1990, after Donald had been on the front page of The New York Post for eight straight days with some very personally negative headlines, my family celebrated Father's Day. Donald looked gloomy. I asked my uncle Robert why. 'Don't you get it?' he said. 'He wasn't on the cover of the Post today.' I have never forgotten that." September 22, 2026 at 3:21 PM EDT Trump agenda in death spiral as even deep-red Ohio shifts left President Donald Trump's Republican Party is suffering so immensely in pre-midterm polling, experts are starting to wonder if there is something funky with the polls themselves. If not, then Trump could be in for a shellacking worse than he suffered during his first term's midterm contests, in which Democrats gained 40 seats in the House of Representatives even while losing two in the Senate. |
