Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) is a professional membership and advocacy organization of physicians and health professionals that promotes a single‑payer national health program (described as “improved Medicare for All”) in the United States. The organization develops and publishes policy proposals, reports, research, and informational materials; conducts surveys and analyses (for example on moral injury among clinicians and on Medicare Advantage/Medicaid managed care); and compiles resources aimed at policymakers, clinicians, students, and the public.
PNHP organizes chapters and student groups, runs campaigns and legislative outreach (including support for Medicare for All legislation), provides member resources (webinars, slideshows, handouts, speakers bureau), holds annual meetings and events, and engages with media and the public to advance health‑system reform and health justice.
