Maine AllCare is an advocacy organization that promotes establishing publicly funded health care coverage for all residents of Maine. The group develops and advocates for state-level policy proposals (including creating a Maine Health Board), supports legislative initiatives, and pursues town resolutions and ballot initiatives as pathways to expand public coverage. The organization produces research and informational materials (surveys, a fiscal study, FAQs, glossaries and toolkits), publishes news, opinion pieces and personal stories, organizes chapters and local events (town halls, rallies), and provides resources and guidance to supporters and activists. It identifies a political/advocacy affiliate, HealthCare for All Maine (a 501(c)(4)), and is an official chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP).
