Election Integrity

The Center for Popular Democracy (Popular Democracy or CPD) is a nonprofit advocacy and community organizing network that supports and coordinates more than 50 community-based organizing groups across roughly 34 states. It works to build civic and political power at the local and state level by organizing, coordinating campaigns, issuing public statements, and mobilizing supporters. CPD focuses on transforming state and local policy to advance equity and opportunity. Areas highlighted on the site include protections for immigrant communities, raising the minimum wage, winning paid sick leave, expanding voting rights, increasing access to childcare, and holding law enforcement and federal agencies accountable (including advocacy around ICE practices). The organization runs national campaigns and coalitions (for example efforts to defend the 14th Amendment), solicits supporter signups and donations, and publishes statements and updates about its actions and policy positions.
